Re: gas mixture

That needs a 50:1 ratio mix, Alex.

One pint of TC-W3 rated outboard oil to 6 gallons of 87 octane unleaded gas is 48:1, which is plenty close enough.

On a per gallon basis, that is 2.56oz. per gallon.

Good luck. :)

Re: gas mixture

Or, to give you even more information than you asked for - based on the nearly universal size of gas cans (not boat tanks) 13 oz per 5 gal. This is what I use because I end up carrying a lot of gas in 5 gal. cans, and have a marked container to dispense 13 oz. If you mix a pt. per 5 gallons it's 40:1 which a lot of people think is also an acceptable mixture. I've run a lot of 40:1 and haven't really had any noticable problems at all. As he said, 50:1 is the proper mixture, but if you err on the side of a little too much oil (e.g. somewhere between 40:1 and 50:1) you'll probably have no problems at all.
