Re: gas oil ratio for 15hp sears Ted Williams Outboard???
i tried looking up your model on sears parts lookup and it came back unidentified. most powerheads for sears were built by eska, which is a tecumseh unit, the fuel ratio is 50-1 but use a marine grade 2 stroke oil as they are designed for the the waterways for less pollution. you could use regular oil for lawn and garden in a pinch but i recommend using a marine grade synthetic for optimum performance. lower end oil is 90w gear oil and it should hold @ 6 ounces. to remove and replace the oil remove the 2 screws in the lower unit aloow oil to drain into a pan, you can blow compressed air into the top hole to try to get remaining fluid out.they make kits for doing the lower end oil replacement. i have used an old piece of fuel line hooked up to end of gear lube and screw it into the lower hole and squeeze until the fluid comes out the top hole.replace both screws and your on your way, if you need additional help refer back to your post and i'm sure someone would be happy to help you. welcome to iboats and good luck on your project.
