Re: gas or petrol
JB I agree on the heavier than air. but so ar fuel vapors. here compressed gas is banned I dont know on the other side of the pond. appearently his main engine is LPG as well. he said just carring one fuel I have seen propan work very well on river boats in south america for 2 reasons. 1 it is easy to transport and two it is difficult to contaminate. when I said handle it I was meaning to transport it. were ran our navy p250 pumps, using the gale/omc55 power head. on JP-5 jet fuel. started them on propane and switched to jp-5. but here our product liability would not allow for it. can you imagine the average Joe schuckatelly with a hydrogen fuel cell?
that technology will be a long long time catching on on this side of the pond.LPG has advaantages but who knows
would be an interesting progect. I would have a certifed gas engineer look over the design though before I blew up my boat

and for safty, has anyone ever seen the liquid alchol that is used in stoves burn?
it burns really really well and has no visible flame. just what ever it is burning. Good luck and keep posting
