in the UK we are just under one english pound a litre.. another couple of weeks and the magic figure will probably be reached..

still at least i can fish of the boat while its still parked in the marina.. he he..

fuel costs dont bother me too much..its mostly tax and if they didnt take it that way they would take it another.. what p-sses me off the most is the straight dollar for a pound swop i have to pay for mercruiser parts.. roughly double the US cost..

one way or another gas prices are gonna keep going up.. cos most of our gas price is tax we dont see the same percentage increase as others do so from that point of view we are lucky.. in fact our government were planning to up the tax on the stuff but dare not do it at the moment cos of the political fall out..

diesel is the way to go in the UK cos it dosnt carry road tax if used in a boat.. it costs about 1/3 the price of petrol.. but that little concession is on the cards to end soon.. EU regulations.. he he.. when it does most UK boaters will be looking at an overnight 300% increase in their fuel coasts.. now thats a biggy.. whoops.. time for a revolution i recon..

trog100
belchy , we are near woodstock and we boat out of longpoint on lake erie.
trog , nice to see someone paying more than we do!! It's funny though, my wife will pay a buck for half a litre of botttled water and not even question it. But she does have a point...she doesent drink 80 litres an hour
our prices are back down to $1.06 this morning time to go out for a rip!! the price really doesent stop our boating though. it just makes us appreciate the fun more!!
$3.58 gal at the cheapest marina I saw in Ocean City , Md.. Around 25 gals cost me almost 90 bucks. Now it costs about 30 bucks to go fluking a day.
Dead Eye
brine.. i think the cheapest place in the world for gas is Venezuela.. about 18 cents a gallon I recon.. but thats pure politics and dubya is probably thinking of invading the place cos of it.. he he he..

the only thing thats certain is the price of the stuff is gonna keep going up quite steeply from now on in..

trog100
I filled oup the boat at Chevron last week and it was $2.75 a gallon.

Can any of you get a tax rebate from your state? In Washington we can get a rebate for all the road taxes on fuel purchased for boats. IIRC its about 30-35 cents per gallon.
$2.89 just yesterday. That's down about $.40 since the high about 2 weeks ago. I would expect it to drop another .20 to .30 over the next couple of months then head back up next spring.

We'll probally never see sub $2.00 again, but I think it will be a couple of years before it goes above $3.00 to stay. Of course, your mileage may vary.
