Here in Florida pump gas is $3.50 a gallon... I don't fill up out on the water since the marinas usually charge 50 cents a gallon more.

In SE GA, ethanol is 3.49, can find Marine fuel 3.79

thanks for replys; gas around marinias here are about 4.00 /gal ,no wonder there are so many boats up for sale .oh well its only money and you cant take it with you ,now i see why my kids want me to sell mine .

You have to remember you guys in england are paying alot in taxes.
Hear on the west coast gas is running 3.65 ish for 10% eth, and right at about $4 for non eth.
Diesel is pushing 4.20.
I bet most of us won't be traveling as much this summer by boat or car.

here in canada gas is 1.28 a litre which works out to be about 5.12 for an american gallon.

Well, keep in mind that part of the reason our gas prices are low is because we (our gov't.) subsidizes oil; give oil companies tax breaks etc.

I'm not taking a side about that, I'm pointing out that we do pay more, it's just hidden in our taxes so we don't really think much about it.

I don't think so. We own boats as a choice for fun - gas prices are part of that; just the way it is. If it sucks, then it's time to move on to a different hobby or trade for a sailboat.

Last weekend our Marina was at $3.58 but they have said expect it to go up with next load so get it now was their advice.

West GA, Westpoint lake, pump gas is around $3.50 per gal and at the marina its $4.50-$5.00 per gal just depending on what weekend it is. Never fillup on the water, if you must gas up at the marina, just get enough to get you back to the truck so you can pullout and hit the nearest gas station.
