Yeah yeah I know I'm asking for it. "fill it up right"

It's empty. There was concern with old fuel so i ran it the last few days all out up and down the river. Took a few hours but it's empty. It sat under E for probably 30 minutes..

Anyway what should I do from here? I can't pull the tank because I don't have it in me to pull the deck up. Would any grit or debris have gotten sucked into the fuel filters?

Any special treatment or additives? I'm not filling the tank again unless I know I'm going to use a bunch of gas.

I sank my v20 wellcraft with 89 Merc 150 twice with 40+gallons of gas in it each time. I sadly pumped it all out and then added a couple gallons of "good gas". I would pump it in a clear container until I didnt see any water or trash. The second time it took 20 gals of new gas to finally get all the water out. Gas was over $4/gal. Havent had a minutes worth of fuel problems. It was worth the cost of new gas not to have carb troubles.

Don't know what engine you have, but back in my military days, we would throw a quart of naptha in with a couple of gallons of gas and pump it through from the tank to the fuel line connection to the carb. (not into the carb). Cleaned all the crap out. Today I would use injector cleaner as it contains solvent naphtha or Stoddard solvent. Same result. Then replace all fuel filters and fill with good gas. I wouldn't do this if your engine is EFI/MPI.
