Gas Tank Removal Pro Line

Hello,

I have a 88 CC Proline. I was told by the owner that the fuel tank had a leak.

My question is how do I go about taking the fuel tank out? Fuel tank is located in the hull.

There is a gruve that looks like it goes around the tank and under the center console. Is that prolly the section to cut? Is it like a pre cut lines or something?

we would need pics to be cretain....but i doubt it.....take a circ saw....and set it to the depth of the deck.....start at half inch...make a slicht cut....see if your thru....adjust accordingly.....just set it till the blade barley goes thru.

there will be a stringer on each side of the tank......dont cut the stringer

I have an 83 ProLine CC and I had trouble getting mine out after I had removed the whole deck!

The mfg had poured foam in between the stringers and the tank to keep it from shifting around, and, they had fuel tank ridges that it sat on to keep it off the hull - I dont think the resin had cured completely before they slapped the tank in because I had to use a crowbar to pry the thing up off the hull.
