Can I since the season is almost over can I use the gas out of my boat on my chain saw so it doesn't get old? It is a poulan

Somewhere else on this forum was a caution not to use TCW-3 outboard oil for air-cooled 2-stroke engines like chain saws, string trimmers, etc. The air-cooled 2-stroke oil for my lawn equipment, chain saws is labeled TSC-2. My guess is that,even assuming that the proper fuel/oil ratio is used, outboard fuel/oil mix is not safe for air-cooled 2-strokes because of their higher operating temperatures. Any other opinions?

I burned up my little Poulan learning what Boatneck just explained.<br /><br />Your Poulan probably calls for 16:1 or 24:1 anyway.<br /><br />Good luck :)

My chain saw calls for 32/1, So I add a little more oil to make up the difference, it's running fine for 7 years.

Put it in your tow vehicles tank. A little upper end lube won't hurt...
