Gasket Sealer on Impeller Change

1987 Force 125. Should gasket sealer be used on both sides of the gasket that goes under the metal plate and should sealer be used between the metal plate and the impeller housing? If so what type of sealer is best?

If the surfaces are clean and flat (as they should be) then you dont need it at all.
RTV and all the poo poo are just a crutch for people that dont want to clean the parts before they reassemble them.

If you going to use it, then you dont need a gasket at all.

Right on, Biffle. (although RTV DOES have its uses)
