Think I have a blown gasket, my 3 and 5 cylinders are jumping compression. So I guess I have to pull the head; with that being said does any one know the difference between the marine gaskets and if I just were to go to O'riely's and get a Chevy 350 set? Thanks in advance.

Re: Gasket Sets

Ayuh,.... If you're buyin' Quality gaskets, say Fel-pro, you need the Right gaskets for the job...
Part #s for each application needed...

The Marine sets just put what you Need, vs. what you Don't....
As in a car set would cover the egr valve,... No egrs on boats...
Exhaust gaskets can be Very Different too...

Re: Gasket Sets

The RapidoMarine 305 that I just got came with a FelPro gasket set. The exhaust manifold gaskets were unusable. They need to be one solid piece because of the different setup.

Re: Gasket Sets

The answer is "no", An automotive set would not be alright. Go to NAPA or other auto supply and have them order a marine head gasket set.
