New tempo tank and on two different gauges it reads empty with 1/2 a tank left. I haven't removed the sender yet to look, so maybe it's just painfully obvious. But, any ideas for tweaking a sender to read better?

Rod on the sender not long enough to reach the bottom of the tank or cork not all the way down on the sending rod.

I'll check both when I open it up. Sender came assembled with the tank, so hopefully it's the right length.

Re: Gast tank sender

Opened it up, there was about 1/2" of play in the float, and about 1/4" adjustment down the slider on top of that. Adjusted it all the way down and now I'm reading just above empty with about 2" of fuel in the bottom of an 18gal tank. I don't think I'm going to do any better than that.

Thanks.
