I have a mercruiser 898, 305 chevy in my chris craft v drive replica. I have new Faria gauges. The temp gauge will only go to about 100 degrees or so. I also, for testings sake have a mechanical gauge which goes to 160 degrees, when I have run a little while. I can tell that the engine is not hot, its just a gauge problem. The faria gauge pegs when i ground the sender wire. I put a new automotive sender in with the same results. does faria have a different sender? the fuel gauge is acting in a similar manner, not reading high enough. thanks for all the help.

Re: gauge problems

the senders you are using may not be compatible with your gauges ....
you are getting readings but dont seem correct !

did your old gauges previously read correct before the faria gauge set was installed ?? or before they quit working ?
