I have a 2007 Stratos 176xt with Evinrude 75 hp E-Tech. When I turn the key all my gauges fire up! After the engine is running, all my gauges go to "0", Tach, Fuel and tilt all read nothing.
Been told it may be the ignition switch, checked all the wires going to it, all connect as should be. It is a harness with 6 wires and goes directly back towards the motor.
Any suggestions of where to start would be most helpful.
Thank you
Bill

Are the gauges reading what they're supposed to when the engine isn't running? If not make sure you check all the pins on the harness. one could be snapped or corroded and need replacing.

I'm guessing there is one common wire that goes from the ignition switch to each gauge. See if there is one wire that does that clip onto it then put the key switch thru each position and see what you measure, if anything.

If the harness from the switch goes back to the motor, there must be a harness that goes from the motor to the gauges. I would try to find that harness and start from there.
