chads15 and all, I studied the Bible for 8 years and could answer all your questions but why bother, you and I and all of us made out life's choices and we will pay the price. IMHO, there are two things in life that probably should not be discussed in an open forum, religion and politics; why? Because you will never change my mind and I assume you feel the same way. Remember, in spite of inflation the wages of sin is still death.

Just to show the rest so I won't be called names, and I quote again,<br />

Being homosexual has little to do with religion.<br />It doesn't mean you cant believe in God, What it <br />leans to, is you don't really care what God<br />might think. You just prefer feeling good for<br />yourself, what ever path that might lead too.

It sincerly makes me said to hear of anyone who's heart has hardended to the point that they do not recongnize God's work.<br />chads15, I too will pray for you to seek out the Lord, How great is the love of our creator for us that He gives us the free will to be with Him or try to get thourgh life by ourselves. I tried it for 33 years and failed. I have been a born again Christian for 1 1/2 years, and I can tell you you don't know what your are missing. Does this mean that I am perfect and without sin? Absolutely not, but I am forgiven through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. <br />To answer your questions of war, suffering and sickness. Humanity causes most of these things because of their lack of faith and inherent selfishness. Think of all the suffering people go through because of aultrey, idolity, coventing....the list can go on forever. God has answered the prayers of all Christians that are suffering with the gift of eternal life. One day the suffering will end, for those who have been saved and reborn, and the rest of time will be without war, suffering and sickness. The "good news" is everyone is invited (white, black, gay or whatever) to share this ultimate gift from God.<br />All you have to do is believe that Christ died for our sins and repent of your own sins. That's it. God takes the lead from that point on... God bless......

Ok I see we have a hot topic here so I am only responding to the original?<br /><br />I believe people in a position of trust or in service to children should be held to a higher standard. I believe that anyone who breaks that trust or misleads these impresionable minds should face severe consequences.<br /><br /> It is our responsability to instill a set of morals and values to our children that allow them to make sound decisions of there own later on in life. If someone is inclined to make unsound decisions later on in life the burden to bear the consequences rest squarley upon there shoulders, that is our way.<br /><br />This individual has no basis to teach the word of god as he obviously cannot discern from his book that we are to obey all the rules not just the ones that are convienent. This is to me the underlying teachings of him being appointed to this position. How do we expect the impresionable children of these teachings to believe otherwise.<br /><br />Kinda like appointing the fox to watch the henhouse, Aint it.<br /><br />There are undoutedbly other closet gays in the church but up untill now it was shrouded in secrecy and shame therby at least giving the message that it was wrong. Those days are over. Let us only hope that there will be enoufgh dissent to correct this horrable mistake.

Well we are intitled for what we belive in. Just to make it clear. Gay, Its not A CHOICE. I dont want to be gay. But I am. If I could live a ster8 life I would. I tried. I tried to find faith in God. Didnt help. Its a genetic defect that us gay peeps have. I do belive in Hell, the people that think that being gay is a choice makes life for me HELL. A gay bishop. Gay schools. what about a Black President? what would you all say to that one? Yeah, thats what I thought. Please do not pray for me. But pray for your self. Untill you learn and understand all walks of life. I dont want the Big Book tossed in my face. Ohh, and another thing. HIV comes from many places, Drug use. Unproteted sex ect. AIDS is a result of HIV if not treated. Once the bodys immune system breaks down. It then becomes AIDS. you just dont go out and get AIDS. Get your facts together before you blab your chops.

Hello Chad,<br /><br />Nosleep makes some good points. It is about changing the norms of what is acceptable in our society. Maybe there is purpose in not accepting all things, like work ethic for example. I am not a slackardOphobe. You are making an assumption that people fear you, and I think that is only partially correct. To each his own, but, what you are doing is to discriminate against those that disagree with your take. I think you to be much more intolerant of me than I of you.
