I for one Mellow am all for freedom. Problem is the debate is extending to what I should be teaching my kids is right and wrong. If in fact though, that a majority of ancient Greek soldiers(Sparta) adopted this lifestyle, then choice is a big factor. I dont like being told that I am wrong for not accepting the idea that it is an equal and acceptable choice. Why is it not an acceptable and equal choice???, I don't know either other than my gut and biology tells me it ain't right. I read a book once, Forever War, science fiction, and the hero goes out to space and comes back periodically finding an earth that has aged 200 or 300 years each time. The society on earth evolves such that it goes gay, and they call him "old qu double e r" because he is hetero. Point is that cultural norms flux around. I'll stick with the ones that I still have the right to believe in.
