And what are you? I don't know. How can I? And how can you know me? Honestly, what do you really know about me. What in any of my posts to this messege board, not just this thread, gives the ammo to pass such harsh judgement on me? Be careful here friend, remember, "whatsoever judgement we meet out others....."

Ok I have to stick up for MY (aka Moe) here. He is no PW. He is just a consistent committed libertarian and I respect him for it.

Soulwinner he questions your sincerity in your prayer. I on the other hand think it is genuine. I think you do love Chad. I think you love the sinner but hate the sin. I also believe you are praying he will change. I don't think you started this to spread hate or fear. Just my gut...

As we argue back and forth let's all just try to keep it on an even keel - civil.

And, I thought I would share a favorite quote to contemplate before you post:

It is impossible for a man to learn what he thinks he already knows

Thanks Ralph. I think you read both me and Mellow better than we read each other. I am not going to post to this thread anymore. I very regret stuff I do, but this thread is regretable. Piece.

Re: Gay Bishop

I CAN NOT get over some of you thinking that being gay is a CHOICE. You MORONS!

Here is some food for thought..

From WEBMD.COM

Sexual Orientation: Homosexuality and Bisexuality

Get the Facts
Staying Healthy
Female Conditions
Male Conditions
Sexual Problems
Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Birth Control
Parental Involvement
Sexual Orientation
Aberrant Sexual Behavior

To the Sexual Conditions Center

Sexuality is an important part of who we are as humans. Beyond the ability to reproduce, sexuality also defines how we see ourselves and how we physically relate to others. "Sexual orientation" is a term used to refer to a person's emotional, romantic, and sexual attraction to individuals of a particular gender (male or female).

Sexual orientation generally is divided into 3 categories:

Heterosexual: attracted to individuals of the opposite sex
Bisexual: attracted to members of either sex
Homosexual: attracted to individuals of one's own sex
Sexual orientation involves a person's feelings and sense of identity; it may or may not be evident in the person's appearance or behavior. People may have attractions to people of the same or opposite sex but may elect not to act on these feelings. For example, a bisexual may choose to have a monogamous (one partner) relationship with one gender and, therefore, elect not to act on the attraction to the other gender.

Why Are Some People Homosexual or Bisexual?

Most scientists today agree that sexual orientation is the result of a combination of environmental, emotional, hormonal, and biological factors. In other words, there are many factors that contribute to a person's sexual orientation, and the factors may be different for different people.

However, homosexuality and bisexuality are not caused by the way a child was reared by his or her parents, or by having a sexual experience with someone of the same sex when the person was young. Also, being homosexual or bisexual does not mean the person is mentally ill or abnormal in some way, although there may be social problems that result from prejudicial attitudes or misinformation.

How Does a Person Know Their Sexual Orientation?

For many people, their sexual orientation becomes evident to them during adolescence or young adulthood, and in many cases without any sexual experience. For example, homosexuals become aware that their sexual thoughts and activities focus on people of the same sex. It is possible, however, to have fantasies or to be curious about people of the same sex without being homosexual or bisexual, or choosing to act on these impulses/attractions.

Can a Person's Sexual Orientation Be Changed?

Most experts agree that sexual orientation is not a choice and, therefore, cannot be changed. Some people who are homosexual or bisexual may hide their sexual orientation and/or live as heterosexuals to avoid the prejudice that exists against people who are homosexual and bisexual or to avoid their own moral dilemmas felt when their sexual orientation is incompatible with their personal beliefs.

Are There Support Groups Available for People Struggling With Their Sexuality?

Yes. There are a number of different support systems available to those in need. These support systems can help them develop strategies for dealing with the prejudice associated with homosexuality and the damaging effects of bias and stereotypes.

Yea, kill the post...

This is sick...

I agree...What you do behind doors is your own business...Be it drugs, your butt-buddy, sheep....whatever..

But when you drag it out in front of everyone and practically force it..That's where I draw the line.

It really started making me mad when they put crap like this in our children's schools and books. Now it's 'officially' in our churches.

You like banging the guy next door? so be it...Just don't open the closet door.

H.

Re: Gay Bishop

chad, sorry you had to deal with this thread. should have been killed way back when i suggested it. unfortunately, this board is filled with tons of ignorant, uneducated morons. these are the same people that think blacks should sit in the back of the bus and women should be barefoot in the kitchen. if you think discrimination against gays is somehow different, you're really an idiot. no one is shoving this lifestyle down your throat. the guy is a bishop and happens to be gay. big frinkin deal. all religions preach the same thread- be a good person, don't hurt anyone, be tollerant. if your religion doesn't prescribe to these beliefs, it doesn't belong and you're probably interpreting it wrong. somehow this guy can't spread his church's beliefs and be gay at the same time? in any event, this thread has opened my eyes to what many of you are really like. i'll stick around simply because you can fix a boat engine.

Re: Gay Bishop

If your refering to me Im neither ignorant or gay. SOOORRRRYYYY Chad and Matt BUT I totally disagree with this. My woman isnt barefoot and Ivegot a black neighbor who is one of my best freinds. I have customers who are gay. I have no problem with them. Not my cup of tea but to each his own. BUT when your talking about a bishop, preacher, etc. who is supposed to LIVE the truth and is openly living a lie, or immorally then thats another thing.p.s. my religion preches the BIBLE... not just what you want to hear but all of it.

Re: Gay Bishop

I believe in God and his son Jesus the bible teaches us patience and accpetance of our fellow man but it also says that homosexuality is wrong hence a dilema how can a man teach the words of God but yet flaunt the fact he is breaking a fundemential rule
