Gear box wet oil change

I had a little problem with my gearbox...water was getting in, the problem is now fixed but my question is how to i flush out the bad oil?without leaveing any water or old oil in??

It has a bottom dain and top vent plug. Drain it and refill from the bottom till it squirts out the top. Then do it agan the next weekend.
