I have an Alpha 1 gen 1 outdrive. Is there any reason I HAVE to use the quicksilver gear oil? If not, what recommendations do you have as far as which to get?
Mobil 1 is cheaper than the Merc stuff, at least if I get it from West Marine. They have Pennzoil marine gear lube too at almost $10 a quart. I think Advance auto has it for a little more than $3 a quart. Crazy.
