I'm winterizing my boat.it's a 1984 OMC sterndrive 2.5 liter.I'm changing the gear lube and I noticed that the lower Dr and intermediate housing are draining out green gear lube. The upper housing looks OK. I use Hi Vis Johnson Evenrude gear lube. Whats going on? Am I getting water into the lower unit?

Ayuh,.... Did you put a lube in the units, other than green colored,..??

Or is this the 1st time yer drainin' 'em,..??

Different brands, different colors,...

Water contamination causes Milkiness, not so much a change in color,....
