This may be a dumb question but now that I have the upper and lower units separated to replace water pump its not obvious to me how the gear oil traverses the water pump area to get from bottom to top. Did I lose an O-ring along the way? The splitting of the drive was really tough because of the white corrosion powder around the bolt shafts.
