So my new to me boat is really starting to look like not such a good deal. Its an 89 peterborough with a 5.7 mercruiser and an alpha one drive. The motor turned out to be bad the gimble housing is junk and now I noticed that the lower unit has gear oil running out of the prop. What are the most likely causes of this. I tried putting a pressure test on it but i didn't have enough stuff to build one. I'll gather up enough stuff to make one on the weekend, but for now i'm just asking to get some input. thanks.
