what kind of gear oil would a alpha one gen 2 take? would i be able to get it at a local parts store?

i get it at my local mercruiser dealer. doubt an auto parts store has it.. i hear through the grape vine that walmart (shudder:facepalm has some though..

Walmart, Advance Auto and Auto Zone carry Pensoil 80w-90 marine gear lube. Some people say only to use the Merc. brand but there is not a close Merc. dealer near me and I haven't had a problem running the Pensoil.
