Gear ratio

Hi guys,<br /><br />Anyone know offhand what the gear ratio is on my motor: 1973 Merc850 #3620790? <br /><br />I'm running 33 - 35 mph on a 16' tri-hull w/ a 19 pitch SS prop. Motor sounds good, all cylinders firing, newly installed tach only reads 3500 rpm! (set at 6 poles)<br /><br />Does this sound right? Trying to figure out if I'm lugging the engine, the tach's off, or what?<br /><br />Any thoughts?<br /><br />Thanks

Thanks, Laddies. Trying to figure out where I am with speed vs. rpms. May have to find another tach to verify rpms. Engine sounds good and speed seems right - can't imagine motor running another 2000 rpms higher. Also seems like too big a difference to make up with a prop change.
