I have a lowrance lcx16c that I m getting very attatched too :)
However  its a little slow for scrolling from one point to another in the map feature and it is also slow to load.

I m pretty sure, correct me if I m wrong (I know yall won t hesitate)
that inside it is basically the same set up as a computer.

Would I be able to increase the load speed of the maps and charts and the scroll feature and the overall performnce ?

No
First when you open it up all the nitrogen will get out.
Second it not like a computer at all where you might be able to change the CPU. Everything is attached to the main board then the board is sealed from the air with a plastic coating. Best thing you can do to speed it up is to turn off some infomation that you do not really need. Back when the LCX 16 C was built intel had not yet came out with the dual core CPU's.

The nitrogen inside is what is used to keep it from fogging up on the inside.
