Gel Coat Repair, How easy?

I`ve got a couple small chips in the gelcoat of my `02 Chapparal Sunesta. How easy is this to repair yourself or is this a job requiring special tools and profissional touch? I am fairly mechanically inclined but do not have a body shop in my garage if you know what i mean.

Location?? Above/Below the waterline. Color match Important??? AGE of the boat and Gelcoat???

gellcoat repairs are relitivly simple if its one color flat surface.

materials needed.....gellcoat....milled fibers...pigment.

tools......a sanding block.....tons of varing grit sand paper....all the way fron 220 up to 1500 or at least 800 wet....and a polisher.
