got a 22' cruiser that sat for years outside being abused, it had alot of growth all over the topside "moss". I used a pressure washer to remove all the moss and cleaned it real well I used Muriatic acid "with scrubbing" and also some commercial cleaner, butu i still have dark Yellow staining on the topside from where the moss was growing/ decaying. Does anyone have any idea how to remove this yellow staining. "cannot sand it out cuz it is on Non skid areas" also while pressure washing i removed some of the old gel coat and glass after fixing can i re gel just these areas or do i need to re gel entire boat? and lastly can i regel a boat over existing Good gel as long as it is sanded first?

At hardware store...try TPS, mix it strong, brush on...let sit...wash off,if that doesn't work.....paint it w/Interlux topside paint. ( do all the above in the shade)

Every now and then I'll get some leaves that land on the foredeck leaving a nasty tannin stain in the gel coat. I've just been able to wash ( and rinse ) with Super Scrub and let the sun do its thing. It's usually gone within a day or so - clean deck again. :D

If nothing else works you might try asking someone at a swimming pool supply place. They have all sorts of stuff to remove stains from fiberglass and other substrates.

Ayuh,.....

Using Gelcoat on a hull after it's left the Mold is an Extremely Labor Intensive operation,.....

Painting is usually the Answer......
