this is my first time on this forum, and my first boat. It is a Larson All America 162 or 165. I'm still doing reserch on ID. I have two ?
1)What with the blue/red bow light.
2)I would like to regel-coat the boat(I know about the sanding and making it air tight)my ? is this. If I make a chamber out of havy blastic
& frame hook a vacum pump. then ran it at-10 lb. psi. do you think that would work.

tav...you can regelcoat a boat by spraying the gelcoat, and then covering with PVA to seal for curing.

Paint it, it's too much work to re-gel coat large areas, many many hours of sanding and buffing.

Just prep the gel coat surface, that means sanding it very well with 220 grit or so, no shiny spots, if you miss a spot the new paint won't get a good bond in that area and will peel off fairly soon.

1)What with the blue/red bow light.
It's actually green & red. Required by law. Red is port(left) Green is Starboard (right) The boat also has to have a white stern light that sticks up to the highest point on the boat. These lights are used for identifying your boat when navigating at night.
