had boat out for first time at weekend, but managed to catch the side of boat on the dock, just minor scratches, but because the hull is green they show up, have filled all scratches with gel coat repair, but the stuff is slightly lighter in shade than the hull, is there anything i can do to get rite colour????? paint it ??????

Go to an auto parts store and get some touchup paint that is closer to your color than the repair.I was able to get the exact match for a boat I once had.You may have to go back and forth to the store a few times but you will find it if you search.Charlie

Remix a new batch,cut out the old repair.After mixing up a new batch,before adding hardner,put a drop to the side of your boat,add more black or white to the green till you match up.Just clean up those drops of gelcoat with acetone.
