So I was out on the lake this past weekend in my 1997 Chaparral (4.3 w/Alpha 1 Gen 2) and I hit an underwater stump at full throttle. It literally broke my gimbal ring in half, lost my hydraulics, lower unit, new SS Prop, etc. Got it home safely. I have an Alpha 1 Gen 1 from my old boat in immaculate condition. Is it possible to swap the whole thing over? I already pulled the motor in the Chaparral and going to remove the Y exhaust in the morning. Then attempt the swap. Should I expect anything? Thanks fellas!

My apologies, they might be. I was basing my information off the sticker. I'll just delete this post if so.
