Gen II Controls

I picked up 883709A02 off ebay, no manual. Anyone have a manual, picture, or can tell me where the shift cable hooks up?

It's a Merc outboard control, what are you trying to hook it up to?

I am so sorry. It is cobtrol box that I bought on ebay to hook to my 82 merc 200. I could have a different problem but went out last week. Would not shift into forward. Reverse is fine so I thought adjust and go on but no adjustment worked so I thought cable was streched so I measured and checked with teleflex and that is okay. Lower unit seems to shift into forward manually fine. So someone told me y controls were bad. So I bought one on ebay. Then realized I needed gen II cables so I orded that yesterday. Any hello will be appreciated

This needs to be in the Merc Outboard forum, not Mercruiser IO. Will move this over to the Mercury forum.

This chart should show you how to hook the cables.

If you had explained what it was the first time it would not have been moved to I/O and you would have saved yourself and others a lot of time.
