General Information on my '96 Searay

I am looking for some general information about my boat.. It is a 1996 Searay 190 signature. It has a 5.7l engine, Merc outdrive. The boat has about 160 hours on it. I would like to get the boat up to par since it hasnt been used much.. What type of maintainance should I be doing? How do I do the routine maintainance? What are some problem areas with this boat I should look out for? What do I do to winterize it (It will be stored outside in my driveway)? Thanks for the help!

You ask some very good questions. The main reason I say that, is it's sounds like you want to be proactive and preventative. That's a great attitude. There is a wealth of info on here if you search the archives. The first suggestion I have is that you go to a Mercruiser dealer and order the FACTORY SERVICE manual for your engine and drive. In my opinion, avoid the aftermarket manuals. Yes,they are cheaper, but the info isn't always reliable and they sometimes skip over inportant items. When it comes to items like winterizing, I suggest besides reading about it, that you either pay a pro, or have someone that knows what they are doing help you in person the first time. It's not hard to do, but there is no room for errors.
