Hello all, Ive been doing alot of internet searching for some info on my boat. Its a 16 ft General marine ranger tri hull and It has hull numbers on it but no tag as to how much it weighs. It seems general marine is no longer in business in florida and i cant find them anywere and im wondering if anybody knows what happened to them or were they moved or even a name change?. I could possibly get by with a ballpark figure of how much just a 16 ft hull weighs. Special thanks to any and all who can help. Pete j

Re: General marine

Lots of boat companies of this era went out of business or were amalgamated into larger companies. Fiberglassics has a page on them.

Your best bet to get the weight it to have it weighed - landfills, municipalities and truck weighing areas often have the necessary scales. The original hull weight may no longer be accurate due to changes in equipment, absorbtion of water into foam etc.
