general question 70 evinrude

Just curious. I have a 1990 70 evinrude. Where is the air intake when the cover is on? I can see the three intake holes on the back of the black cover that's over the carbs when the hood is off, but for the life of me I can't see where it comes in when the cover is on. Thanks,

It is below and under the intake. Right in front of the swivel/mounting baracket.

There is a baffle under the tilt handle on the upper rear of the engine cover.That is the primary air intake when the cover is installed.
