I've been thinking about various places to keep my Honda Generator, and one of the spots is on my swim platform. It sits about 6" above the water line so I don't think it would get wet.
And could I leave it there running while at dock?

What do you think?

You could put it in a igloo cooler to keep it dry when not in use. :)

Just be careful with the way the wind is blowing when you run it.

I ran mine there for the past 4 years with no problems. :)

I see them there all the time. My generator is under the deck, but the exhaust comes out 2' in front of the swim platform.

be carefull fumes can settle in boat i see lots of small generators straped to swim platforms for storage. you will not be very popular running a gen at your dock most people ive seen use a extension cord and put gen on shore away from boat when in use

Why do you want a genset running at dock ? .. dont have power at your dock ? ..

Put the gen on the Dock not on your platform ..
