Same here. It has been a permanent fixture on my counter ever since. I have gone through several units since the glory days.

Mine would still be in use but the wife hates it. I asked her where is was after reading this post and she said I didn't need it. I found it on my own.

While not glamorous, they're one of those gadgets that work, and work very well actually. We cooked Halibut that I caught in Alaska on ours last night and it was excellent. The removable tray model makes it much easier to clean.

Thanks again for all the help. I ordered the 98 sq in, removeable plates and thermostat today.
