My significant others' grandfather passed away last week in Springfield MA; the funeral was Friday. The only flight we could get on short notice that was under 1,000.00 does not leave Boston until Monday morning. There is a Nor'easter headed this way and flights are being cancelled left and right. I'm freezing my butt off as I'm not used to this weather! Man I don't see how you guys can stand not boating in April!!! As much as I love to visit relatives in Boston in the summertime, this cold, windy, rainy yucky stuff is not fun; I just wanna get home tomorrow!

Hope you New Englanders see springtime soon!!!​

Sorry about the Grandfather, AND the price of tickets. However, when you're relatively warm tomorrow, remember the race is on. My brother has run Boston 4 times and will be there tomorrow, and they have NO intention of shutting it down. 26.2 miles in a Nor Easter. ​

Thank you, my girlfriend's grandfather was 91 when he passed and was pretty healthy up until a week before his death. It was a really nice service.

I thought about the marathoners as we were headed to Logan Intl. this morning; couldn't imagine running anywhere except back indoors!!! Could see the water from takeoff; not boating weather!!!!!

Home now, beautiful sunshine and greenery everywhere! So glad I live in the sunshine state! The relatives we stayed with are actually moving to the Marshall Islands later in the year, guess they have tired of the wintry weather also!​

you should have stayed an extra day and come to CAPE ANN and you would have enjoyed a nice Nor' Easter storm. you missed the 20' seas with the salt brine spray hitting your face in 50-60 mile winds and the white frosty ocean exploding it's fury over the rocky shore line. it is something that we life time residents look forward too.

An ex girlriend of mine had a brother in Mashpie and her mom n dad were in Sandwich. The brother had a a center console Striper and we got caught out in the bay a time or two between MV and the Cape when the weather kicked up. Not a place I would want to be in a cold, snowy storm.
