Light compound, a buffer, elbow grease, and a good wax. That could bring back depending on the condition as said, but it probably won't last unless you was often. There are many commercial products out there but nothing lasts forever. Paint may be your only alternative, and it not that difficult to do...prep, brush, tip, and dry. I'd try a small area with the waxing, but would probably paint it...when it's warmer, of course.
