I am buying a 3058 bayliner and now am ready to secure the trailer

I found a dealer that will customize for me exactly what I need.

I need some help to know what that is:

we will be mostly fresh water use, with a trip over the mountains once every year or so and then we would put it in salt water with a sling. there is a small chance that I would have to dip the trailer in salt water

3058 weighs 9100 dry they have a 13000 capacity tri Axle model that would fit the bill.

Base trailer is $5200 painted with Elec drum brakes
for an extra $1000 I can get a galvinized trailer with Saltwater drum brakes

add another $1000 and I can convert to to surge disc brakes.

and finally for about another 500 I could own an aluminum Trailer with disc brakes.

Any thoughts would be appreciated

Thanks

I would skip the painted trailer. Even in fresh water, you'll have a rust problem in a few years. Go galvanized, or better yet, if weight is an issue (and when is it not?) get the aluminum. Since disk brakes are easier to give a quick visual check and are less complicated, that's the way I would with a rig that large.
