Other than the loose connection on that carb, they just might be good to go! Lets fight one fire at a time because it appears you've found your culprit. In regards to the cylinder with weak spark, did you check everything with all plugs removed? If not, it could be that you weren't cranking at the correct rpm's to generate sufficient spark. If plugs were not removed, now's the time to remove them all, and re-check spark with no plugs installed in the outboard. Make certain your cranking battery is fully charged while performing the spark test. Also, clean all your wire connections to the cylinder showing a weak spark. What size gap would it jump when first tested? I'm curious to see if the problem follows the suspected bad coil. If that's it, your in good shape! Once you get the spark issues lined out, you'll notice a BIG difference in performance. Too, when you see the difference, go back and click on that link regarding the "decarb". You'll need a new set of plugs aftewards........... Best of luck to you......... ALAN

BTW....... What plugs do you currently have installed?

Re: Getting Frustrated.

I have champion plugs. I had no spark from one cylinder and a weak from the other. Another way I verified my results was to run the motor and remove the plug wire. The rPM should change. On the plug with no spark there was no change. on the others there was.

Now for the real problem. I replaced the coil, and still have no spark. So I tested the module and it is not putting out on the top side. I should have checked that first. put you know murphy's law.

when ever you have spark on one and not the other, swap the coils positions. if the problem follows the coil, replace the coil, if it stays in place, then suspect the power pack. sorry.

Try to stay possitive........at least you have a spare coil to throw in the boat.......... :) ........... As TD suggested, if the "no spark" issue doesn't follow, check out the power pack. An OEM service manual would outline testing procedures. With any luck, TD can walk you through that, as he is much more knowledgable in the field than I am. Consider doing a search on "testing powerpack" in the meantime and until he can get back with you.

Replaced pwr pack. Boat ran great. Now to tackle the steering and other easy leaky carbs. They leak when motor is tilted. But At least I am back on the water Yay....
