Just Install the impeller on the shaft and put a little lube of some kind in the cup. Hold the cup down on the impeller and with a little downard force while roating the shaft in a clock wise motion it should go right in.

Impeller replacement

view after it is placed in the cup

Thanks Bubbakat, i'm sure the manual would tell me I'm just impatient. I love the assistance and the information available on this forum. I feel that I learn something new everyday

Liquid dish soap works well as a lube and will easily rinse out when the motor is running without harming the rubber pieces...

- Scott

I usually just lube up the impeller and the cup and twist the impeller into the cup so the vains are in the right direction and then install the whole assembly onto the shaft and down onto the baseplate.
