Getting my powerhead rebuilt

My 96 115 hp Johnson will have a fresh powerhead soon. Does anyone know what my break in time will be? It will be bored out 30 thou. Will this make a difference? What should I expect? It is going to cost me 2500 tax in cdn.

To my knowledge, break-in on a rebuild is the same as for a brand new motor. I'm going to have my '90 90 hp rebuilt this fall. If you hear anything different on the break-in procedure, let me know. Thanks.

Hi tony...just had my 90 hp done ...dealer told me same as new motor as outlined in the service manual.....by the way Im in NS too...Cape breton...any chance we had same dealer....oh and by the way some very knowledgeable ppl in here...listen to what they say
