Two and a half weeks ago I ordered new springs for my trailer, they are a special size I could not find any where in Canada and only a couple places in the US. Last week, Tuesday I got half the order, Ubolts, spring plate, hardware. Canada customs is holding the actual springs for "further evaluation" The boat and trailer is sitting on jack stands in the garage waiting and I can't do anything else till the springs arrive. The motor is tuned up, and everything else is ready to go for the first ride in Canada and the wife is starting to chomp at the bit.~!$!#@$%^$#%&^ what do you do, government!! just had to vent.

I feel for you. My boat was almost ready to splash when I found out I had a seized engine.

Hope customs clears them soon for you.

I feel your pain. I just my gimble bearing and was planning to reuse bellows since they are fairly new. I had looked the bellows over and over, washed soap and water and inspected them. I just discoverd I missed a bad spot, so I am now probably not getting the second parts order until the 28th.

You just gota love government, no matter where you live they interfear with your life.
Maybe modify your trailer to accept a standard set of springs might be another option.
I feel your pain also. I got 3hrs of fishing in this year July 4th and discovered the gimble bearing was bad due to some salt water intrusion.

dozer, being Canadian, I feel your pain getting stuff across the border (some much for 'free' trade)

I'd control my WOO-HOO until you see what Customs/Excise taxes are attached to it.

They're not worried about you getting your springs, so long as they get their cut of the deal.

Glad to see they're on their way. With all that rain out there this year in Saskatchewan, I'm sure there are plenty of places to boat including the farmer's fields :D

Springs arrived this morning, only had to cough up $15.00 for the Government. Spent the last 4 hours gettting the trailer back on its wheels, put on the new license plate and we will be ready for a test run tomorrow weather permitting. Will post up some photos after it is done.
