getting rid of the slitfire ignition altogether.

Sorry about the confusion... I wanted to completetly eliminate the slitfire iginition on my '94 OMC king cobra 7.4 and install a complete after market ignition in place and not use ANY of the OMC stuff. My thoughts where either a MSD type of ignition or a pertronix type of conversion. and was wondering if any of you guys have had any experience in this area? I'm not familiar with the thunder bolt systems as mentioned in another thread, or the GM system also mentioned in another thread. I viewed the wiring schematics in another thread and found it to be helpful if I chose to use the knock sensor or the crank trigger, which I don't think I'll be using. any thoughts would be appreciated thank you.
