getting to impeller on 6hp Chrystler

I have the foot off and bolts removed (4) but the pump won't budge. Do I have to remove the prop and do anything from the underside?

The good news is that you got the bolts out. The case tends to corrode and grab them tight enough so that they snap when you try to remove them. Now what has probably happened is that the gasket has self-glued to the parts. sometimes you just need to pry a bit and sometimes you need to actually hammer in a small screwdriver between the gasket and case to start it. Just try to be careful and not put any deep gouges in the aluminum.

Thanks! I was told to also spray some WD40 around to help define the line between the parts. I did that but it is too far down in there to clearly see.
