ghost motor?

I have a 20hp johnson model = 20BA 75 B, serial number C 13772 (canadian motor)
I was told the previous owner thought it was a 1978 but can't find any info or parts diagrams for it? I've tried the regular sn lookups to no avail...anyone have anything they can add to my search?

It is a 1975 model says so in the model #

The model # indicates it is a 1975 model.-----The 78 model is a totally different engine block.-----Pictures would identify it in mere seconds.----Often no listing for a 20 HP and the 25 HP is used to find the parts.

Thanks! I suspected the stated year was incorrect, wasn’t sure if they used the year in the model or serial number so this really helps out.
