Gimbal bearing. Is this normal?

Is this normal for a greasable gimbal bearing? One side is open slightly which looks like it will let grease through.The rest of the hole looks sealed. Should there be a hole for the grease to flow to the bearing or is this normal. If it's not normal anyone have a pic of a greaseable gimbal bearing so I can compare what I should be getting

Looks like a good greaseable bearing other then the manufacture didn't debur before installing bearing in the race

Ok good, what's your feeling on aftermarket bearings? There are those that will only swear by OEM stuff. I'm not one of them. Any real life experience with the cheaper ones? I only put around 15 running hours a year and pull the drive every year to inspect everything

Most all bearings are made over seas, I've had no issues with them. That said sold my Rinker after 27 years with original oem greasable bearing

Make sure bearing holes line up with grease fitting on transom. Unless your grease fitting doesn't exist on transom. Then you may have incorrect bearing.
