Gimbal housing stud replacement?

I pulled the gimbal unit from the transom shield on a Alpha 1 gen II in preperation for transom replacement. I see that several of the stud have almost corroded apart. These we the studs located in the worst part of the transom.

Anything special about removing them? I had planned on using some heat as it looks like red loctite was apllied. Then just grab ahold and unscrew them?
