Gimble Bearing - The spinning, listening test

Having never even touched a gimble bearing until yesterday, I need some help.

I pulled the drive of my alpha 1 gen 2. All is well with the bellows (no leaks, chaffing on outside of bellows, etc)

I cleaned all the extra grease that I pumped in the gimble bearing zirc, and spin the gimble bearing.

Here's what I find:

No play at ALL side to side, up, down, etc.
Spinning it slowly, and quickly, in both directions, there is NO grinding "feel" or GRINDING noise.
BUT - if I put my ear in the u joint bellow (A tricky thing to do with your hand up there as well! :) ), And spin slowly, I can hear what I can only describe as the sound of a hotwheel car being rolled across a table....VERY VERY minute...I did not hear it the first 8-10 times I spun the thing around.

So My questions is: Is there supposed to be NO NOISE AT ALL when you turn these? If you were standing 1 foot away, you would not hear what I am hearing, you REALLY have to be up close and personal to hear a thing. It was so minute that I even thought it was my wrist rubbing the inside of the bellows the first 2-3 times I did it.

And Like I said, it feels smooth as silk when you turn it.

Thoughts? Help?

THANKS!

Thanks Bond-o, that's kinda what I thought, but I certainly wasn't going to put this back together without knowing for sure.

Thanks again.
