I own a 1992 Canaventure 1750 with a 4.3l V-6 inboard/outboard I had it into the shop for some tune up work recently and they had suggested that I change the Gimble bearing. I understand it to be the same as a steady bearing on a truck. How big of a job is it to change it yourself? Does anyone out there have experience changing this bearing? I have been told that if you can feel any clicking when you spin the bearing by hand then it needs to be replaced. If this is the case, is their anywhere I can find a step by step procedure to do this? Thanks in advance for your help.
