Give up on your Evinrude?

If you've got a 60's Evinrude with the access door on the front and you just can't get it to run properly you can use it as a rural mail box like this person. I'm surprised someone hasn't taken parts off it, like the prop. Don't ask me for the part number for the flag.

I once made a fancy custom mailbox (not from a motor though). The mail carrier promptly told me that he couldn't pickup or deliver mail to that box because it wasn't approved by the general. But I could put an approved box inside, if it would fit. It wouldn't. My fancy mailbox became firewood.

parts not taken? perhaps that mailbox's rural location is NOT on the local route to the lake? or maybe it's so rural, only the locals pass by and they usually all know each other... but maybe the most persuasive presides?
